EL SOL

For nine years I was Editor in Chief of two Spanish magazines for children ages 10-18. These magazines were and continue to be published by Scholastic Ltd. Their titles are ¿Qué Tal? and EL SOL. My role comprised of coming up with content, writing and commissioning articles about culturally-relevant issues covering the Americas and Spain, and supervising imagery and design. I worked as part of a team where designers, photographers and photo editors, proofreaders and writers worked shoulder to shoulder to produce beautiful and educational bi-monthly publications.

Some of these publications were accompanied by audio files and videos, which we produced both in the countries of origin (Mexico, Spain, USA and Argentina) and in the UK which gave me the opportunity to manage teams of videographers, journalists, editors, voiceovers and sound engineers.
